Intro to Digital Product Design · Instructor

Janurary 2016 to May 2016

How might we address the lack of practical design education at Cornell? The problem is that HCI at Cornell emphasises academic papers and research. As a result, I designed a course that taught students about product design in an industry setting and helped them explore and design against a problem in a form of a case study.

The course was 10 weeks long and 1-credit. The lectures focused on product-thinking, design process, and designing with Sketch.

Some students ended up pursuing design internships and one even received critique the Facebook Design Team on their class project.

Here's the transcript of my first lecture
